Latitude 41 Lawn and Landscape Services of Iowa, LLC of Polk City, Iowa is seeking 9
temporary, full-time landscapers to work at 13272 NW Madrid Drive, Polk City, IA 50226 and in
the counties of Dallas, Jasper, Polk, Boone, Guthrie and Story from 04/01/2025 to 10/31/2025
for $19.28/hour. Applicants maybe offered higher than the advertised wage rate due to
experience or merit. Duties include: Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers. Rake,
mulch, and compost leaves. Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems,
hoses, or watering cans. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain
saws. Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing. Trim or pick flowers
and clean flowerbeds. Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes. Plant seeds, bulbs,
foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs, and apply mulch for protection,
using gardening tools. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or
brush trimmers, or axes. No minimum education or experience required. Must be able to lift and
carry 75lbs 75 yards. Workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties
assigned. Workdays are 7:30AM-3:30PM Monday-Friday but may include weekends and vary
due to weather and workload. Overtime may be available but is not guaranteed. Overtime rate is
$28.92. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due and
pay weekly by check. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck as
required by law. Any advances will be deducted with the consent of the employee. The employer
will offer optional housing to employees. If the worker elects to use the housing, the employer
will deduct $175.00 from each weekly paycheck for rent and utilities. Employer will deduct the
reasonable cost of damages and/or replacement of tools and/or equipment if such repair or
replacement results from willful neglect or gross negligence of the employee. Employer will
deduct the reasonable cost of negligent damage to lodging facilities and vehicles.
The worker will be reimbursed for transportation and subsistence from the place from which the
worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of
employment, in the first workweek at a rate of a minimum of $15.88 per day to a maximum of
$59.00 per day with documentation of actual expenses. The employer will provide or pay for the
worker's cost of return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the
place from which the worker, disregarding intervening employment, departed to work for the
employer, if the worker completes the certified period of employment or is dismissed before
10/31/2025. The employer will provide transportation to and from the worksite daily. The
employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing,
border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by
the H-2B worker (but need not include passport expenses or other charges primarily for the
benefit of the worker). The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit
charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
