Latitude 41 Lawn and Landscape Services of Iowa, LLC of Polk City,Iowa is seeking 5 temporary, full-time
landscapers to work at 13272 NW MadridDrive, Polk City, IA 50226 and in the counties of Dallas, Jasper,
Polk, Boone,Guthrie and Story from 04/01/2024 to 10/31/2024 for $17.60/hour. Applicants maybe
offered higher than the advertised wage rate due to experience or merit.
Duties include: Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers. Rake,mulch, and compost leaves.
Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable
sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, orhedges, using shears, pruners,
or chain saws. Care for established lawns bymulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing. Trim or pick flowers
and clean flowerbeds. Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes. Plant seeds, bulbs,foliage,
flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs, and applymulch for protection, using gardening
tools. Use hand tools, such as shovels,rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
No minimum education or experience required. Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs 75 yards. Workers
will be provided with on-the-job training to perform theduties assigned. Workdays are 7:30AM-3:30PM
Monday-Friday but may includeweekends and vary due to weather and workload. Overtime may be
available butis not guaranteed. Overtime rate is $26.40. The employer will use a singleworkweek as its
standard for computing wages due and pay weekly by check.The employer will make all deductions from
the worker's paycheck as requiredby law. Any advances will be deducted with the consent of the
employee. Theemployer will offer optional housing to employees. If the worker elects to use
thehousing, the employer will deduct $175.00 from each weekly paycheck for rentand utilities.
Employer will deduct the reasonable cost of damages and/orreplacement of tools and/or equipment if
such repair or replacement results fromwillful neglect or gross negligence of the employee. Employer
will deduct thereasonable cost of negligent damage to lodging facilities and vehicles.
The worker will be reimbursed for transportation and subsistence from the placefrom which the worker
has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. orabroad, to the place of employment, in the
first workweek at a rate of a minimumof $15.46 per day to a maximum of $59.00 per day with
documentation of actualexpenses. The employer will provide or pay for the worker's cost of
returntransportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the placefrom which the
worker, disregarding intervening employment, departed to workfor the employer, if the worker
completes the certified period of employment or isdismissed before 10/31/2024. The employer will
provide transportation to andfrom the worksite daily. The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in
the firstworkweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees,including those
mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (butneed not include passport expenses or
other charges primarily for the benefit ofthe worker).
The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, alltools, supplies, and
equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
